A Year of Little Women at the PCA

November 24th, 2010 Comments Off

I have often been teased that I move around to places near my literary heroines. (I used to live on PEI of Anne of Green Gables fame.) Well, I now live about 20 minutes away from wonderful Concord, MA – home of Orchard House, Louisa May Alcott’s beloved home. I am so excited to share this beautiful story of a very special family with a group of such talented young actors and actresses. Our hard work will soon come to fruition! Our play is December 18 at the Parish Center for the Arts in Westford, MA. There are two performances: matinees at 1pm and 4pm. Tickets are $5 each. Two acts with an intermission. For tickets, call 978.995.7002 or e-mail tickets@creativityunhinged.com.

Come for a history lesson, a life lesson and a lovely atmosphere complete with hot cocoa! Perfect for the whole family!

Green Eggs and Ham Wet!Noor and Sir G!Popsicle Break

What a day we had on Saturday, December 12, for our very first Rumphius Showcase! I am so proud of our artists, puppeteers and theater performers. We performed Bill Peet’s Cowardly Clyde as a Junkbox Puppet show for Act I and Robert Kapilow’s Green Eggs and Ham opera for Act II. The World Art class worked hard to complete their weaving, mask and sculpture projects for a Rumphius gallery as well. Thank you, audience, for joining in! Thank you, Fred Yu for your marvelous work on the piano! And, thank you, Eric, for running the door and giving out yummy popsicles. Please check out our flickr gallery for more photos!

our mission…

Henry David Thoreau could not have said it better than in his quote, “The World is but a canvas to the imagination.” At Rumphius, we provide the canvas in a communal, eco-conscious and grassroots setting, and you provide the imagination!
