Vintage Valentine Vea at the Parish Center For the Arts, Westford

Saturday, February 11, 2012 from 1-4pm
Fee: $100 for a group of 4 (all inclusive) | Limit: 14 groups of 4

Come out and celebrate old-fashioned romance at an old-fashioned tea with vintage and antique tablecloths, china tea cups and more. Bring your favorite doll, and we will create fancyvintage accessories for her. Plus, join us for a vintage Valentine-making workshop filled with Victorian scraps, old buttons, lace and more. Emily Piper will sing some favorite old-fashioned love songs for all to enjoy and to sing along to! And, of course, we will top it all off with a fabulous tea server for each table filled with romantic treats made by Gail Flannery of Sweet Visions Patisserie. This event is especially perfect to share with your child or grandchild. Please give us advance notice of any food allergies. We are happy to accommodate!

Saturdays, 9am-12pm (monthly workshops)
Ages 7-12 | Fee: $35 per workshop ($5 friend/sibling discount)
Workshops take place at the Rumphius Recycled Schoolhouse

Young tailors will learn hand-sewing and machine-sewing skills in each of these monthly workshops. The Rumphius Recycled Schoolhouse will be buzzing with the sound of its flock of sewing machines!

Doll Sewing

November 11, 2011, Veteran’s Day
9am-12pm for ages 5-8 | 1pm-4pm for ages 8-12
Fee: $30

Create vintage fashion for your favorite 18-inch doll or stuffed animal with a treasure trunk FULL of vintage lace, fabrics, beads, buttons and more. We will hand sew and machine sew a special holiday outfit complete with accessories for your friend!

Handmade Holiday Beauty Gifts with Emily Piper and Wendy Brown

December 15, 2011 (Westford Conferences for grades K-5)
9am-12pm for ages 5-10
Fee:  $35

Create holiday beauty gifts for your favorite teacher, babysitter or family members with Emily and Wendy. From lip balm to bath salts- we will package them with pretty ribbons, jars and handmade gift tags. The Rumphius Recycled Schoolhouse will be decorated to the hilt with holiday decorations and cozy winter music playing in the background—a true Santa’s Workshop filled with busy little elves!
